Board Members Present: Mike Mundy, Al Franklin, Sally Nolan, David Jones, Mal MacRaild, Connie Six, and Angela Kopitopoulos.
Mike Mundy called the meeting to order at 4:08 pm. This meeting was called to discuss the property at 3 Gate 11, owner Lewis.
As previously discussed in the Board meeting on November 12, 2007 a motion was made to address the property violations. Al Franklin made a motion to have the last meeting’s motion stand seconded by Dave Jones. The Board unanimously agreed that the rear deck that was added onto the sunroom is in setback violation and would require it be removed. All in favor aye. No Nays. Mr. Lewis needs to apply to Carolina Shores Town for a variance for his sunroom and then have the POA Architectural Control Committee approve the variance and respond by letter. The Board will include in writing that we will support Mr. Lewis application for the sunroom variance. All in favor, Aye. Opposed, none. Discussion closed.
David Jones suggested the POA send a formal letter to the new Mayor and commissioners apprising them of this breakdown by the Town that led to property violations and building permits infractions. The POA is seeking better coordination between the Town and the POA ACC.
